                What the reviews say:

“Yes, ventriloquists can be funny too. Zerdin may seem bland, but his puppets are sharp-tongued malicious little bastards. Avoid the front row, especially if you’re ugly?
Sam Taylor - The Observer ‘Pick of the Week? 13/8/00

“If you think the words ‘brilliant?and ‘ventriloquist?have no place in the same sentence, go and see Paul Zerdin for some brutal re-education?
Shaun Pye - Hot Tickets, London Evening Standard

“’Puppetry of the Devious’… Zerdin’s sharp scrip is the heartbeat of the show…It comes as a shock but is very funny indeed?
                Andrew Aldridge - The Stage

“Just to underline that the big names were not going to have it all their own way, the loudest applause went to Paul Zerdin who is reviving the unfashionable art of ventriloquism
                Clive Davis - The Times

“Technically?telegenic Paul?Zerdin is very good indeed. He is so fast you will believe you hear him and the dummy speak simultaneously. If you think cheeky chappie Sam pushes his luck, wait for the foul-mouthed old man. Sit in the front row if you are up for being roundly abused?
Keith Bruce - The Edinburgh Herald

“Paul Zerdin, the best ventriloquist Britain has discovered in years, ?has mastered the knack of being acceptable to both comedy club and family audiences. The spot ?cleverly combined the contrasting types of material?
                Peter Hepple ?The Stage

“So good, in fact, is Paul Zerdin as Buttons, that his spots not only provide the biggest laughs but also threaten to overbalance the proceedings. And Zerdin is worth the admission price alone.?
                Chris Bartlett - The Stage
