They have spearheaded the growing movement to develop taiko drumming as a European art form, both through artistic collaborations and their extensive touring programme. Performing over 100 concerts a year, the group have built a solid reputation for their hard-hitting energetic performances since their establishment in 1994.
The name “Mugenkyo?means “limitless reverberation?and reflects our belief that taiko has no limitations, musical or geographical boundaries; the reverberations of taiko are able to spread throughout the world. The possibilities of taiko are endless, both in its pure form, and in collaborations with other artists and disciplines. It is our aim to help establish taiko as a modern art form, relevant to the world in which we live.
