                Erin became nationally famous when she appeared on the phenomenally successful BBC TV series “Strictly Come Dancing?and is the only female professional who will have appeared in all eight series. Her partners to date have been rugby player Martin Offiah, comedian Julian Clary and they came 3rd, Olympic gold medallist Colin Jackson coming second in the series and winning the 2006 Christmas special, Manchester United goal keeper Peter Schmeichel, snooker champion Willie Thorne rugby player Austin Healey and former Eastenders actor Ricky Grove. We await news of her 2010 partner which will be announced early September.

                2010 is proving a very busy year already for Erin. January and February has seen her touring the UK and Ireland with Anton Du Beke in their own show ?Anton and Erin Steppin?Out for the Raymond Gubbay Organisation. Erin has taken the role as the first ever Ambassador at the hugely popular Move It dance exhibition in March part of her role being to teach Alan Titmarsh to Charleston on his TV show. Her other TV appearances in 2010 include Piers Morgan on Bruce Forsyth. She also has lots of show dates and dance breaks lined up for Warners Holidays and at Wroxall Abbey and many corporate engagements for the likes of BT, She Magazine, Harlequins?Rugby Club and even an event at Buckingham Palace. Erin is also designing a range of fancy dress called ‘Anton and Erin Steppin?Out?fancy dress for Funshack and busy preparing her 2011 tour Anton and Erin puttin?on the ritz.

                2009 was very exciting year for Erin. The year started with the sell out national tour of Anton and Erin Cheek to Cheek. This celebration of ballroom and latin dance was such a huge success that the show was invited by Sadlers Wells to become part of the Spring Dance Season at the London Coliseum. Erin presented and coached ‘Ballroom High? a 2 part series for Sky 1 where Erin and Anton went to a school in Eltham, South London, found 10 youngsters with no previous dance experience and trained them to a level where they performed at the world famous Tower Ballroom Blackpool, all in four weeks. Erin also made appearances on the ‘National Lottery Show - Guesstimation? ‘Richard and Judy? ‘Hole in the Wall? and the ‘The Alan Titmarsh Show? Oh yes ?and she managed to find time to marry her fianc?Peter O’Dowd in a stunning ceremony in Ravello on Italy’s Amalfi Coast in June. .

                Born in New Zealand, Erin started dancing aged 3 and at 15 she visited Australia to watch a big ballroom competition and at 15 her career path was chosen becaming New Zealand 10 Dance Amateur Champion 3 years later. In 1994 Erin moved to Australia to progress her career and then 18 months later to London. One year after moving to London, in 1997, she met Anton Du Beke and within a year of dancing together they won the 1998 New Zealand Championships, winning again in 1999. In 1998 they also made the prestigious International Dance Championships at the Royal Albert Hall and went right up the Amateur rankings before turning professional in 2002. In their first professional competition in Blackpool they came 3rd in the UK.

                Career highlights include TV appearances on “Strictly Dance Fever? “Celebrity Star Spell, Test the Nation?“The National Lottery? “Dancing in the Streets Ballroom Blitz? talking about Colin Jackson in BBC science series “Truth about You?and having the great thrill to perform for the Prince of Wales in the 2004 Royal Variety Performance. The fitness DVD that Erin made with Karen Hardy ‘Strictly Come Dancersize?reached no 1 in the charts in 2007/8 and is still selling. Erin choreographed the stage show and DVD and designed many of the 150 dresses ‘Simply Ballroom?for Qudos. Erin is also invited to host many events and does public speaking, wowing audiences with stories of her partners and of course dancing with Anton. She also still teaches whenever she can at Kingston Dance Studios
